Baidoa,(insidesomalia.org)- Ethiopian troops have this morning extended themselves in the southern commercial town of Baidoa some 245km west of the Somali capital Mogadishu.
Their extension has generally halted the movements of both people and vehicles.
These Ethiopian soldiers armed with both heavy and light weapons we seen sauntering in the key street of Baidoa, and sometimes taking break on the sides of the street.
These soldiers have stopped people using that specific street, and the inhabitants were using footpaths inside the villages.
The entire commercial activities in the area closed down thought it is resumed thirty minutes later.
The Ethiopian troops were said to be keeping guard at their water tanker, which was fetching water from water point in the mid of the area.
The dwellers of Baidoa have abhorred this action, which normally take place in Baidoa after every tow days.
The places where this action normally affects include the big telecommunication companies and the remittances, which their edifices are on the roadside.
Bay regional authorities have not yet talked of this issue of the Ethiopian troops sealing off the main street in Baidoa when going to fetch water.
